fun… free… loose… easy… sweet… tempting… indulging… brown… earth-tones… Gaia… and if we bring together its simply means chocoate.
hahahaa.. i know it really doesn’t tie to choc that much but i guess that dark brown color of the chocolates really attracts us. we planned the wedding almost a year ago nothing serious its just a simple talk over coffee types of planning.
the church…
dave and i planned the wedding last year and it is so hard to start the very first step. what to get first, who to ask what? how much it really cost and all.. its really blurry and we cannot start the first step into our wedding plan. then one of my colleague told me to get the church booked first before everything else and all things will be easy. and he is right. after we have blocked the Caleruega church date we have the restaurant, and some minor details blocked their dates too on that very same day we have the church date settled. we also picked our colors that suggest being close to earth and nature and it should be rustic too just like the brick cladded church on the hill.
its so amazing to know that Dave once dream of marrying the love of her life (who ever that is since we haven’t meet yet at that time) on this church, and I’am so in love with this solemn and intimate place on the hill. so i guess we both make our wishes come true.
and so its dark brown…
it symbolizes the earth – nurturing, contented sensuality and productivity. Passive, sensual, fertile and generous qualities are associated with brown. Wearing brown has an assured feeling of being very grounded in and belonging to feeling. Sensuality at its deepest roots is conjured by the infinite hues and tones of brown.
at first i thought Geraldine will choose pink-ish in tone because she likes pink before. But when she showed me the color she like as our motif i was amazed because it was actually the color i have in mind..

Pink is out…
Dave says pink is “passe” overused and very high school-ish
Sepia tone is also very classic like those old Photos. its very nostalgic and it has something that makes it very mysterious and striking. After i have talked to the couturier about the design and the color, we agree that we settle on the two toned taffeta fabric.

it was really fun planning and running through the details of the wedding… especially if theres somebody a groom at that who is very hands-on. we both work on a creative-design field and we both throw suggestions on the table and eliminates those we think doesn’t jive to the rest of the color scheme, its very chaotic at first coz theres a lot of ideas that pops out of our head.. we also incorporate some accent colors to add some zest to the rest of the colors we want to have on our wedding day.
flowers..
just to complement and add accent to our motifs we pick these colors. and it should be tulips for the bride..

Gold.. yellow.. its ochre and clay..
…

reddish-tangerine.. orange.. vivid sunset…
so we stick onto being on the earth tones. we are not those super earth crusaders who would tie themselves to the trees and what not… we just want it on the earth tones thats it..
Entourage
we both have a small family so we keep it small intimate family and friends affair… if we can accommodate all our cute nephews and kids in the family we would like too… we love to see kids in their cute wedding get up..

….
cakes..
not very much into this.. we are still outsourcing about the cakes design..

…
photos…
we like our photos to be taken in its most candid sense… Dave as a photo hobbyist is very picky on who will photograph us… he’s very fickle minded..finally he had decided to get a young, hip, and out of the box photographers who has a very distinct style and a very fresh wedding album. hope we will have nice photos on our wedding day..
